Excited

I can't wait until tomorrow's academic day is done. I have test, quizzes, and labs. It's one of those days that I'd rather sleep off. But today is done. I am about to go swimming, what joy. Tonight is Halloween here at USNA. My costume is nothing really spectacular. Me dressed up in an old suit, looking like Joe Clark from the movie "Lean on Me."

I had a good time in African American literature class today. More so, after the class was over, on the way back to Bancroft Hall. Well, lets just say, long walk with small talk. Step by step. (Hence the real excitement)

But tonight I have to really sit down and focus on the work and things that I need to accomplish before tomorrow, so we'll see how that goes.

Don't say nuthin... just give it here

Sometimes I want more than what I can have. Is that selfish? Maybe I'm selfish, I can't help it. I am used to getting what I want.....when I was younger. But now I am older, I have to go out and get what I want. Sometimes that the hard part, the motivation to go out and get. I can't really believe that I am 24 years old. I can still remember 21, which was years ago now, but it feels a ways back as I watch other people turn 21. I turned 21 in the fleet, and things were a bit different. I am that age where I should at least one kid and a wife. I am "daddy" age. My mother married at 19, my father was 21. My gosh, I am off the timeline here.

So as I reflect, now I am wondering will I ever meet my soul mate. Someday, but as soon as I want that day to come, I realize that I can't rush it because I don't want to end up with the wrong one.

Until then...

I just wanted to dance...

It's late, I've been up nearly all day. I just wanted to relax a bit and dance to the song that was playing on the radio. I was feeling the groove and have to release it in a dance, but no... roommate had to go and kill the spirit. I try to have some fun, and I guess I am having a lil bit too much fun for him. But that's fine by me, I'm respectful. I understand. I think I'll just go to bed anyway. I don't feel like doing anything else. So. So much for the weekend. Navy didn't win. My majority of my Saturday was spent on a charter bus. But thats fine. I'm living and breathing. Thank God. Another week of school starts tomorrow. PRT on Tuesday.

Livin' for the weekend!

I figured that it was about time that I write something. It's Friday and I am done with classes. Don't want to go swimming, and I am not going because I have a concert tonight to prepare for. My last class got cancelled, and surprising, well God really blessed me today, all of my other classes, labs and quizzes went over well today. I am so relieved.

Tomorrow is the big Navy vs. Notre Dame football game at the Meadowlands in New Jersey. I bit the crowd is going to be pumped. The spirit of the Brigade is going to be just too much. Navy is 5-0 right now, I pray that tomorrow we will leave the Meadowlands with a 6-0 record. 41 years of losses to Notre Dame, this years the drought will end and we are going to "sail on down the field." What the hell am I saying.

Yup, but tonight I'll watch some DVD's and maybe eat some Chinese and then who knows. Play around on the internet as usually.

Catching up

Well I have been quiet for a few days now. I am finally about to be productive in a sense. I am finally done with 6 week exams and papers. This weekend I celebrated the Navy vs. Air Force football victory. It was such a good game to watch. The spirit of the Brigade should be high for sometime. 5-0. I hope the team can continue on to many more victories.

I went out right after the game and had a chance to unwind for a bit. I hadn't had a drink in about a month, so it was long overdue. Then on Friday, I went from place to place following "T" and a group of ladies. But I must say that we all had a really good time. "T" really shocked me when he got out on the dance floor. He must have been holding a lot in and finally said it was time to release, and release he did. What a night

The next day, got out to the mall to shop and prepare for the new season. Got a new leather coat that I am unsure that I really want, but it's really nice.

Other than that, I have been standing duty over Saturday and Sunday.

But now I have homework to do, so until then....
