What a week..

I am really ready for Friday to get here. Mostly due to the fact that it's the weekend, but not counting that I have an exam in my Steam Propulsion class. Something to look forward to. On Friday my roommate turn the BIG 25, May 29 I'll be right along with him. Hopefully get a chance
to take him to celebrate his 5 years to his 30th.

This morning I was pretty much in a good mood, which is different, after having to wake up early and run just over 2 miles, then turnaround and head off to school. I am riding this high as long as I can. Trying not to think about the homework that I have to do tonight.

Yesterday I had the chance to sign a really big check. My Career Starter Loan. I've had my share of loans, about 5, but this one is about the best. Hopefully a move to make some wise decisions.

I just left martial arts class and went "live" with Paul "Goliath" himself and his head smashed my ear and it hasn't stopped ringing. He threw off the equilibrium, some challenge I faced.

But ooh well nothing major to report in my life, but I miss celebrating Mardi Gras back home. I was downtown Annapolis last night, and just watched as a single bar, TRIED to really imitate the Mardi Gras atmosphere. But me being a real Louisiana native could only look and node my head. Better luck next year.

Black History Month

This month is one of celebration for African-Americans, a time to celebrate the past and press forward to greater things in the future. Today we had the Opening Ceremony for the this months activities which was pretty good. But what I can't wait is for the Gospel Choir concert at this end of this month. The choir is planned to do a lot of new music which is interesting and good for our repertoire. Also Kasisi, Rudy, and myself have something planned. We want to pay tribute to Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, and The Drifters by singing a medley of their songs. We just sang for about an hour last night and came up with the concept and it is going to be hot. The challenge is looking for some voices that are going to thicken our sound up. I have one kid in mind but haven't talked to him. The way that I have this planned out in my head, it's going to be a knock out performance. I'll report back with the progress.
